Public Hospital

Parking Management Dynamics

The hospital parking facility boasts 3000 parking spaces and serves various stakeholders, including patients, visitors, workers, and military vehicles.

The project faced challenges associated with managing multiple parking zones and the need to accommodate existing user behaviours and expectations.

The primary objective was to ensure equitable parking access for all users, enforce parking policies effectively, and maximise revenue generation through efficient parking management.

ParkPoint conducted extensive data collection to understand the hospital’s requirements and challenges, designing tailored parking management solutions for each zone. The deployment process involved data collection, solution design, technical proposal submission, iterative improvements, financial proposal submission, signing, and deployment.

Implemented hourly paid parking zones, which were shared by patients and visitors to maximise space efficiency and accessibility.

Ambulances, police, and other emergency vehicles had their licence plates pre-registered in the system, allowing for seamless access as required by their critical roles.

Introduced a digital payment solution enabling customers to scan QR codes on their parking or valet tickets and pay online. This system was integrated with banking gateways and both the parking and valet parking management systems, enhancing user convenience and reducing wait times.

Deployed a digital validation system specifically for blood donation clinics. Blood donors received two hours of free parking, automatically validated through YooValidate upon confirmation of their donation.

Patrolling golf cars and security vehicles were equipped with registered number plates to freely navigate and access all parking areas without restrictions.

Workers could purchase parking online via various passes, with a dedicated membership office for assistance. Visitors were directed to designated parking areas with multiple payment options available, including digital validation for entitled users.

A streamlined membership process and strategic positioning of visitor parking areas enhanced the user experience. Multiple payment options, including digital validation for entitled users such as blood donors, were introduced.

Robust reconciliation processes and internal audits ensured proper usagereconciliation, maintaining operational integrity and security.

Pricing strategies were aligned with the hospital's service and financial objectives, resulting in streamlined membership processes and doubled revenue generation.

By carefully assessing the hospital's needs and understanding user requirements, ParkPoint delivered a comprehensive parking solution that optimised operations, enhanced user experiences and maximised revenue generation. The implementation of YooPay and YooValidate, along with the strategic segmentation of parking areas, led to a 30% reduction in time spent by users in parking payment processes. Additionally, the priority access system for emergency vehicles improved their response times by 15%, crucial for hospital operations.

Key lessons included the importance of data-driven decision-making,stakeholder engagement, and iterative improvements in achieving successful parking optimization outcomes.

Mixed-Use Multi Tenants Property

Optimising Validation Management

The property encompasses over 4,000 parking spaces serving a dynamic blend of office spaces, food and beverage outlets, and retail stores, with around 70 tenants. This creates a complex environment for parking and validation management.

Managing diverse validation needs posed significant challenges.

Different tenants had different eligibility criteria for free parking validations, with variations based on tenant type, time of day, and season.

Ensuring that the free validation benefit was not misused required a robust and flexible system.

The need to streamline the charging and invoicing process for tenants purchasingadditional validations.Project Objectives: To implement a validation system that accommodated varied tenant needs, minimised administrative overhead, and ensured fair and efficient use of parking resources.

ParkPoint introduced YooValidate, a sophisticated validation system designed to manage complex validation requirements with highflexibility and efficiency.

Monthly Points Allocation: Tenants received a certain number of validation points each month, renewable per period, which could be used according to their specific needs.

Tenants had the flexibility to buy additional points anytime, facilitating greater control over their validation needs without administrative hassles.

During low seasons, such as summer for F&B tenants in Riyadh, additional free validation points were allocated to support business continuity.

YooValidate seamlessly integrated with both the parking management system and the valet service, ensuring a uniform validation process regardless of the service used.

The system allowed specific services for certain logins, enabling tenants like restaurants to choose validations specific to their business needs (e.g., parking but not valet).

Eliminated the need for manual invoicing and payment collections for validations.

Allowed tenants to manage their validation needs proactively, adapting quickly to business demands and seasonal fluctuations.

Implemented caps on validations to ensure fair usage and prevent exploitation of the system.

This project highlighted the importance of flexibility and integration in validation systems for mixed-use properties. Tailoring solutions to meet the specific needs of diverse tenants while maintaining system integrity was key to the project’s success.

Streamlining Complex Parking Memberships

YooManage and YooPass

The project involved a large property with a diverse mix of long-term users, each with unique parking needs stemming from varied arrangements between the property owner and the tenants. The challenge was to manage these requirements efficiently while ensuring user satisfaction and compliance with contractual terms.

Accommodating different privileges and access requirements based on varied lease agreements.

Managing a large number of passes and ensuring that they are distributed and used according to specific agreements.

Maintaining an organised system for contracts, terms and conditions, and other critical documents.

To develop a seamless, integrated parking management solution that simplifies administrative tasks, enhances user experience, and ensures flexible yet controlled access to parking resources.

ParkPoint introduced YooManage, a sophisticated parking membership management platform, alongside YooPass, a user-friendly mobile application, to address the complex needs of the property’s diverse user base.

Admin Access for Operators: Enables the creation and management of various types of passes (YooPasses), each with specific privileges such as access to designated parking zones during specified times.

Allows tenants to view their allocated passes and assign them to their employees or guests based on eligibility.

All relevant documents, including contracts and terms of use, are digitally stored and accessible, with digital signing capabilities to ensure compliance before pass activation.

Facilitates direct communication between operators, tenants, and end-users, enhancing service responsiveness and user satisfaction.

Member Access: Users can view their assigned passes and access parking facilities using mobile devices, RFID cards, or through license plate recognition technology, providing flexibility and ease of use.

Supports in-app purchase of additional passes or renewal of existing ones, streamlining transaction processes.

Automated pass management and document handling significantly cut down on administrative workload.

Simplified access and transparent communication improved overall user satisfaction.

Ensured that all users are fully compliant with terms before accessing services, enhancing security and adherence to contractual terms.

Tailoring features to meet specific client needs is crucial.

Seamless integration between administrative platforms and user interfaces is essential for operational efficiency.

Maintaining open lines of communication among all parties ensures smooth operation and quick resolution of issues.
